Mariely Rodriguez

Bergen Community College student Mariely Rodriguez is studying health science for a career as a registered nurse. Her career goal is to work in a specialized nursing role as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNAs). “As a nurse, I would like to make a positive impact on other’s lives,” said Rodriguez. “I feel like this profession would also consistently present opportunities for learning and growth, which I am passionate about.”

Rodriguez chose Bergen because she is a resident of Bergen County. She also received positive feedback from previous Bergen students and graduates about “how great it is to be a part of Bergen.”

When asked what has made her successful at Bergen, she credits the Sidney Silverman Library, the professors, the counselors, and her peers. She said, “Bergen Community College has made me successful with the many resources the College has!”

She expects to graduate in 2025.

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 13,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
