Dr. Laura Ochoa has done research and presented at conferences in various areas of abnormal psychology, and in the teaching of psychology using techniques drawn from “psychodrama.” She holds state licenses in psychology in New Jersey and New York. At BCC, she was the 2007 recipient of the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award.
Dr. Ochoa teaches many different psychology classes, including honors courses, in various modalities. She is an experienced face-to-face and online teacher. She has been awarded “Quality Matters” (a nationally recognized peer review agency) Program Certification for her online course in General Psychology.
