Bergen for Business offers two experiential learning opportunities for students.

LatinxCEO is a Bergen Community College program designed to develop, inspire and empower aspiring Latino business professionals. The program provides Hispanic students and their allies with opportunities to interact with companies and business professionals from a variety of industries to increase awareness of available careers and help students develop business communication skills.

  • Allow students to job shadow employees in your organization
  • Invite students to visit your corporate headquarters to learn about different types of careers
  • Be a guest speaker at a LatinxCEO event on campus

Free Consulting for Small Business Owners

Bergen County business owners receive up to ten hours of free project services.  Projects are chosen by the business owner and have included social media posts, competitor research, flyer design, how to find information about loans and grants, creating a Google Business profile, finding new suppliers, customer testimonials, photography, video services and more.

Bergen Community College students provide free small business consulting services through a partnership with the Bergen County Office of Economic Development. Small business owners, click here to request services.

Students may apply for the internship program by completing this application or stop by the program office in Pitkin A108. This is a paid internship program through the Bergen County Office of Economic Development.

The Bergen Community College small business consulting program was selected as a 2021-2022 Innovation of the Year Award Winner by the League for Innovation in the Community College.
