This course provides an overview of construction processes and related project documents for commercial and industrial construction and related industries. Review the legal aspect of construction-related documents and the roles played by engineers, design professionals, construction managers, and other industry professionals.

Certificate in Construction Management

This program prepares students to enter the field as an assistant to the project superintendent, construction project manager, building maintenance manager, estimator, or scheduler. Those individuals already in the field will gain skills and knowledge to further their careers at the safety, management, site superintendent, and project management levels. Professionals from other disciplines may enroll to develop an understanding of the building design, engineering and construction process. Courses begin with a solid understanding of blueprint reading, understanding estimating, project scheduling with Oracle Primavera P6, and the construction process. Attend this program and enhance management skills; gain an understanding of contract documents, legal issues, safety, insurance and dispute resolution.
