The Speech Competition at Bergen Community College is an annual event that is open to all students on our campus. This academic experience allows students to speak about important contemporary issues and have their voices heard. It also allows them to enhance their speaking and communication skills. Students can choose their own topics and can present either an informative or persuasive speech. The competition takes place every April in two rounds. The first round of competition is open to all enrolled students. The second round is the final rounds in which the top five speakers compete for the top prizes. Every year, we are impressed with students who rise to the occasion with confidence to present passionate speeches about the important issues in our world
