Disability Services (Office of Specialized Services)
The Office of Specialized Services (OSS) seeks to provide students the opportunity to participate fully in the College’s educational programs and benefit from all aspects of campus life through the use of reasonable and appropriate accommodations and auxiliary services. OSS offers a welcoming environment that treats all people as individuals in a courteous, friendly and respectful manner. Our goal is to create an accessible community where students are challenged and diversity is celebrated.
Students are encouraged to submit Disability Documentation early in order to ensure timely delivery of eligible services. For more information on eligibility for services as well as submitting documentation, please refer to the section on Documentation Submission Process and how to Provide Documentation.
Documentation will not be reviewed until the student completes the admissions process and completes and submits our online Intake Form.
Students will be notified via their me.bergen email account with updates regarding their request for services. Once eligibility for services has been established, a Letter of Accommodation email, will be sent to student’s me.bergen email account address approximately 2-3 days before the start of each semester. If you have not received your accommodation email by the 1st day of classes, please email [email protected]
The suggested deadline dates for new and incoming students to submit documentation are unique to each campus. Information regarding the dates for the Paramus, Lyndhurst and Hackensack campus can be found by clicking on the link above.
