Resetting your Portal Password

  1. Go to and click “I forgot my password!” under the Sign in button.
  2. Enter your Bergen Username and click Next.

    NOTE: If you receive an error stating that you are not enrolled [in the Bergen Password Manager], click Enroll and enter your First Time Portal Password — the first two letters of your last name, with the first letter UPPERCASE, followed by the last 6 numbers of your Student ID number (do not include the first zero). If you continue to receive an error, contact the ITS Help Desk for assistance.

  3. Answer 3 identity verification questions and click Next. Note: Answers ARE case sensitive!
  4. Type your new password, and then type it again to confirm. Click Proceed.
