PARAMUS, N.J. – Trading in grade books for guitars, Bergen Community College faculty members Dan Sheehan, Andy Krikun and Sony Tiwari starred at the school’s “Summer Music Festival” Aug. 10. In addition to the professors’ performance, the all-day event featured Bergen students, members of the Waldwick School of Rock and sets by R&B artists such as Alyson Williams and Blue Magic.

PARAMUS, N.J. – From Billboard to Bergen Community College, a collection of chart-topping R&B artists will headline the school’s first-ever “Summer Music Festival.” The free event open to the public featuring live music, gourmet food trucks and vendors will take place Sunday, Aug. 10 from noon to 8 p.m. in parking lot C at the College’s main campus, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus.

PARAMUS, N.J. – Six Bergen County high school students claimed first-place honors in categories such as poetry and drama in the 38th annual Bergen County High School Writing Contest sponsored by the Bergen Community College English department. The contest, directed by Bergen professor Peter Helff, featured six categories of submissions – scholarly essay, poetry, personal essay, recent American, short story and drama – judged by Bergen faculty. The work of 27 finalists became part of the “Pegasus” literary journal published each year by the College.
