PARAMUS, N.J. – Gallery Bergen invites submissions for the exhibition “Picturing the ‘Garden State’ Now,” opening at Bergen Community College’s main campus March 1. Artists living or working in New Jersey are encouraged to send images for consideration. Works of art in any media that address current visual aspects of social, economic, environmental or other conditions in the State of New Jersey are eligible.

Works should fit within a shipping box (shipping covered by the College). Larger pieces may be accepted, but should be personally delivered to the College (Gallery Bergen, West Hall, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652). Works must be framed or otherwise ready to be installed.

To present works for consideration, email six JPEGs (if necessary, include enlarged details), a corresponding checklist, a C.V. and a statement about the work by Saturday, Feb. 6. For more information, please email Amy Lipton at [email protected].

Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls 16,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
