PARAMUS, N.J. – From Billboard to Bergen Community College, a collection of chart-topping R&B artists will headline the school’s first-ever “Summer Music Festival.” The free event open to the public featuring live music, gourmet food trucks and vendors will take place Sunday, Aug. 10 from noon to 8 p.m. in parking lot C at the College’s main campus, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus.

Scheduled performers include:

  • Alyson Williams, who, in 1989, became the first female R&B artists signed to Def Jam;
  • Blue Magic, whose 1974 single “Sideshow” reached No. 1 on the U.S. R&B chart;
  • Chubb Rock, who had four No. 1 hot rap hits in the 1990s;
  • Jalil Hutchins and John “Ecstasy” Fletcher of Whodini;
  • Bergen performing arts faculty Andy Krikun, Dan Sheehan and Sony Tiwari;
  • STATiC and members of the Waldwick School of Rock; and
  • RIFF Sounds, the Jacksonville House Band, Sean Shotta, Symplicity, New Day, BTV Global and Diamond Toni.
