Bergen Community College student-athlete Ashley Celdo Rodriguez is studying computer science with the goal to “break into a mostly male dominated career field.”
As a student-athlete, Rodriguez joined both the soccer and cross-country teams. Since joining cross-country for the first time, she was able to practice, grow, and contribute to the team winning second place. She plans to join the College’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society. She feels that she has been successful at Bergen because she is “using all the resources available to us” at the College.
She said, “Bergen is the #1 community college in the state!” She expects to graduate in 2026.
Based in Paramus, Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu), a public two-year coeducational college, enrolls more than 13,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields. More students graduate from Bergen than any other community college in the state.
