The CDC serves children ages 2 – 5 years old, with additional options for Back-Up care for school aged children. The center offers flexible scheduling options, with hourly schedules available to college students, operating from September until the end of Summer Session II, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The CDC is closed on any days when the college is closed. Please note that during the Summer Session we are closed on Fridays.
Children of College faculty, staff and students receive discounted tuition.
To enroll your child the following are required:
- Complete enrollment documents.
- Full and up to date child medical records with your child’s immunization on the NJ Department of Health Immunization Records Form.
- There is an annual $68.00 registration fee.
- If you are a student of Bergen Community College and enrolling your child you must submit proof of registration and your class schedule every semester in order to continue receiving reduced tuition costs.

What to Bring on Your Child’s First Day of School
Please label all of your child’s items with their name
- At least two complete sets of clothing must be left at school. These items must be labeled. Please update seasonally.
- Your child will need a photo for their cubby.
- A roll up nap mat.
- A stuffed animal for rest time. Other outside toys are not permitted.
- Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend the CDC. Parents must provide diapers and wipes.
- Food and a water cup for the day. The CDC has a natural foods policy. Please provide healthy foods which can be packed in a lunch box. Please do not include glass containers. (Meals cannot be heated, refrigerated, or otherwise prepared at the CDC.) You must notify us of all allergies and food restrictions.
