PARAMUS, N.J. – Bergen Community College Bulldogs slick-fielding second-year shortstop James Donohue, of Ridgefield Park, has earned a 2014 NJCAA ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award for stellar defensive play. En route to becoming the first Bulldog in school history to earn the award, Donohue notched 43 putouts, 64 assists and six double plays, making only one error. Bulldogs coach Steven Mimms, who led the squad to a 17-16 record, also relied on Donohue’s offensive contributions – he hit .355 and tied for the team lead in runs scored (21). Donohue’s postseason honors included spots on the all-region and -conference second teams.

Bergen Community College (www.bergen.edu) based in Paramus is a public two-year coeducational college, enrolling nearly 17,000 students at locations in Paramus, the Philip J. Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack and Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands in Lyndhurst. The College offers associate degree, certificate and continuing education programs in a variety of fields.
