PARAMUS, N.J. – Coinciding with the release of its winter/spring 2014 catalog, the Bergen Community College Division of Continuing Education, Corporate and Public Sector Training will host two information sessions on its popular interior and fashion design certificate programs in the next few weeks. The interior design session will take place Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 6:30 p.m.; fashion design will follow on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. Both will meet in the Technology Education Center at Bergen’s main campus in Paramus, 400 Paramus Road.

LYNDHURST, N.J. – The “season of giving” came early for 110 Bergen Community College students Dec. 13 at the third annual mid-year scholarship awards ceremony, which took place at the school’s location in Lyndhurst – Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands. The event gave students an opportunity to meet the Bergen Community College Foundation donors who made more than $180,000 in scholarships possible.

PARAMUS, N.J. – After school officials formally certified a transfer agreement between the two institutions Dec. 17, students can now depart from Bergen Community College and arrive at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The agreement allows a transfer of credits from Bergen, the state’s largest community college, to Embry-Riddle, the Daytona Beach, FL institution recognized for its aeronautical degree programs. Embry-Riddle will accept at least 64 credits from Bergen.

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Women’s Institute at Bergen Community College will host several career mentoring opportunities for women who wish to develop their professional skills in diverse industries such as real estate, technology, retail and food service. PARAMUS, N.J. – In just the last 18 years, the Bergen Community College Foundation has awarded more than $6.8 million in scholarships to students and awards for special projects. In order to provide further opportunities for local students, the foundation will host its signature gala event, the 29th annual Medallion Awards Dinner, Friday, Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Mahwah Hotel.
