Bergen Community College is a comprehensive, publicly supported two-year college that is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of College and Schools. We are committed to providing academic opportunities to high school students of junior and/or senior standing through specially designed programs targeted to meet their needs.
There are many advantages and benefits for the high school student to begin taking college courses while still in high school. Depending upon the program and how it fits into their schedule, students are able to obtain college credit before they graduate high school thus, getting an early start on their future studies. Students are able to experience a higher level of learning by participating in a College-High School Partnership Program offered either at their high school or on the BCC college campus.
The courses will be recorded on an official college transcript and can be used towards a degree program at Bergen Community College or for transfer purposes depending upon the transfer policy of the prospective college/university.
Students who plan to attend a New Jersey college/university can refer to the NJ transfer web site, https://njtransfer.org, for course equivalency information.
