To apply for the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) grant, a student must:

STEP 1: APPLY to Bergen Community College. Take the placement test – upon admission – in the Office of Testing Services.

STEP 2(*): Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form – at

STEP 3: Meet the EOF Grant Eligibility requirements.

STEP 4: Complete an EOF Application:

  • Submit the EOF Application by recommended deadlines:
    • November 1st – Fall Semester;
    • March 1st – Spring Semester.
  • Submit the completed EOF application form & supporting documents using one of the following options:

STEP 5: Upon review of your application and financial aid status, you will be contacted for an interview, if eligible.
