The New Jersey Student Tuition Assistance Reward Scholarship (NJ STARS) Program is an initiative created by the State of New Jersey that provides New Jersey’s highest achieving students with free tuition at their home county college for 12-18 college-level credits in the fall and spring semesters for up to five semesters. To see if you qualify, please reference one of the NJ STARS Fact Sheets for High School Graduates on the HESAA website for eligibility requirements for New and Transfer Students.
High school graduates who qualified for the NJ STARS program between 2018 and 2020 but did not attend Bergen Community College full-time may still be eligible if they enroll in their home county community college within five semesters following high school graduation, even if they attended another college or university. Fall 2020 is the last semester of eligibility for 2018 high school graduates, even if they already attended another college or university.
