Construction Administration and Licensing/UCC

Diverse construction workers on the site

Bergen Community College offers New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) approved licensure classes for construction professionals who are looking to advance their careers and become New Jersey State Inspectors for local municipalities. Obtaining a technical or administrative license enhances the chances for higher paying, more reliable jobs.

The New Jersey State Department of Community Affairs offers students who successfully complete the course a 100% reimbursement of tuition when they apply for their licensure and students will be provided instructions for obtaining this reimbursement during the course.

If you have any questions about qualifying for any of these courses, contact the Department of Community Affairs at (609 984-7834) before registering for a course. For the most relevant information about licensing and the Uniform Construction Code (UCC), please visit: https://www.state.nj.us/dca/divisions/codes/offices/licensing_cont_ed.html

Inspector training is valid for three years. Students are responsible for maintaining records of their training completion dates and ensuring that they meet all continuing education requirements or retake courses as necessary.
