Technical Licensing Courses

Each track is approved by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and prepares you for inspection roles in major sub-code areas such as Building, Electrical, Fire Protection, Plumbing, and Elevator.
Building Inspector Track
Building Inspector RCS (CD-075)
This 90-hour DCA-approved course provides the foundational knowledge required for licensure as a Residential and Commercial Structures (RCS) Building Inspector under the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code (UCC). Students learn to review plans and monitor construction for compliance with codes, ordinances, and zoning regulations. Topics include structural design, fire protection systems, mechanical and electrical integration, plumbing subcodes, plan review, and field inspection practices.

Tuition Reimbursement (NJ DCA)
Eligible students may receive 100% tuition reimbursement from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs after completing the course and applying for their license. Instructions and required forms are provided during the course.
